Actress Bella Flores dies early Sunday at 84:

Veteran actress and screen villain Bella Flores passed away before dawn Sunday at age 84. Flores was rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 1:27 a.m., said singer Imelda Papin, who helped bring the actress to the hospital.

this photo is kinda disturbing because it shows politicians being epal at the highest sense, literally and figuratively. as can be seen in the picture, one of the tarpulines is blocking the stop light which endangers
motorists. hopefully mayor bistek can do something about this

If one likes to run for a post, he/she must realize that its for public service. That he’s/she’s there to serve the people. This tarpaulin is not about helping people, but rather putting them in trouble and causing traffic. People should think twice in voting these type of politicians.

Learning to love Time

It’s the start of a long weekend. After 6 pm today, everyone’s rushing for the long rest… and unwinding. But it’s also a time to take stock of things, and enjoy the most of it.

Time is a very elusive element in a person’s life. And a very important one nobody can’t deny. I bet if someone comes over and tells me it is otherwise, I’ll be straight enough to tell him why you are living and pacing yourself right in front of me — when you can END your life. But no one ends his/her life, right here, right now, except those perhaps who have lost hope, those who only see the meaninglessness of life.

What then is in time?

Undeniably, we cannot severe ourselves from it. From the mundane matters of life to the more elaborate plans and decisions we make, time is inextricably an essential part of everything. Life, as it is lived, happens in time. As we’ve often heard it, nothing happens in a vacuum. Take it from the workplace, it’s pretty much a standard practice that when you plan, it has to be S.M.A.R.T. The letter T in this acronym as many of us know stands for Time-bound. And so if someone has lots of ideas in mind and you already get very impatient because the guy you’re dealing with is engaged in doing pendulum over his ideas. You might want to snap back at him, telling him “when are you going to do this idea of yours?” or “what’s your timeline?” or “when do we end?”

Or how about lingering over a heartbreaking issue which could tear one apart when left alone. Depression could grow in this instance and can kill the life out of a person. In these trying moments, a dear friend might approach and help you to move on. Time then is of the essence here. For with all the lingering, all of the bringing the same old pattern of depressing, blaming and worrying thoughts, it can fixate one’s view of time which can put one into trouble.

Equally true is the fact that time heals wounds because it teaches many valuable lessons along its path. If one stays within its range and bides along with it, it can reveal a dazzling many ways and insights. Although time is not the source itself, it is not a tool either. We cannot use it, though we can play it in our favor, so to speak, if we work things out and we’re left with a lot of spare time.

Well, although we might get to think of it as a simple 24 hours a day, 60 minutes each hour, 60 seconds each minute phenomenon. And an endless stream of moments in between, experience after experience. Yet it rests also in the fact that it’s not just seeing at life from a mechanical viewpoint.

Life is lived in time. Life is nourished by harmonizing oneself to the rhythms of time — not against it. Paying our respect to time, life becomes amplified, a state of being bigger-than-life. All because we take good care of the moments that happen to us. Though not all of it brings a smile on our face, but each ticking should be enough to remind us that there is a life being born on each of those ticking moments. And I’m talking about your life and mine.
